Highlights and updates from this year’s Annual General Meeting
Monday, April 20, 2026
A big thank you to everyone who attended this year’s AGM! Sixteen of twenty-eight units were represented. Here’s a quick overview of what was discussed. You can find the full minutes in the Members’ Corner section of the website.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend our Annual General Meeting—we really appreciate your involvement and support. Strong participation helps keep our co-op connected and moving forward together.
If you weren’t able to make it, here are some of the key highlights:
Getting started
We opened the meeting with a welcome and a land acknowledgement, recognizing that we are on unceded Mi’kmaq territory here on Epekwitk (PEI).
The agenda and minutes from previous meetings were reviewed and approved.
New Smoking and Vaping policy
Members reviewed and approved a new Smoking and Vaping policy. There was some great discussion and thoughtful suggestions on how to improve it further—like clearer guidelines and better outdoor setup. These ideas will be passed along to the Policy and Bylaws Committee for future updates.
Financial update
Good news—the co-op finished the 2024–2025 fiscal year with a surplus.
The audited financial statements were approved, and members also voted to continue working with MRSB as our auditor for the coming year.
