Welcome to the Gateway Housing Co-operative—The Corner—in downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island!
Our mission is to empower people to reach their full potential by providing affordable, safe, sustainable, and community-oriented housing to a diverse group of members.
Our vision is to adapt our housing and community engagement to better serve our diverse members through incusive, equitable processes that foster mutual respect and strenghten our cooperative governance.
Our values are safety, community and sustainability.
We are dedicated to cultivating a sense of belonging, mutual support, and cooperation among residents with well-being of individuals and families in mind. By prioritizing diversity, community engagement and environmental sustainability, we strive to create an inclusive living space where all residents have the opportunity to thrive.
In the spirit of Reconciliation, we acknowledge that the land upon which our organization stands is unceded Mi'kmaq territory. Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), Mi'kma'ki, is covered by the historic Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We pay our respects to the Indigenous Mi'kmaq People who have occupied this Island for over 12,000 years; past, present and future.
